What temperatures can the containers withstand? Can I freeze or microwave this container?
Reheat Application Products
Straight Polypropylene - reheat only
Brittle- not crack resistant
Typically can be hot filled on average up to 165°F*. Should NOT be exposed to frozen environments.
Colors: white or clear
Part # example: T41016P
High-Clarity Random Co-Poly Polypropylene - reheat and refrigerate
Slightly more expensive than straight homo polypropylene
Structural performance is similar to straight PP; slightly less brittle than straight PP.
Prone to cracking under low amounts of stress.
Typically can be hot filled up to 165°F*. Should NOT be exposed to frozen environments below 35°F.
Part # example: T41016CP
Colors: clarified
Impact Co-Poly Polypropylene - reheat and frozen
Slightly more expensive than straight homo polypropylene
Excellent for food application use in normal and frozen environments (NOT blast freeze).
Typically can be hot filled up to 165°F*. Average freezer temp is 20°F.
Good impact & crack resistance.
Good for reheat application in microwave.
Part # example: T41016CP
Colors: white or translucent
Refrigerate and Frozen Application Products
HDPE
Food grade plastic
Freeze temperatures average: -5°F.
Hot fill temperature: 160°F
Colors: white or translucent
* based on product design and resin selection within the resin categories, higher fill temperatures can be achieved, but only after validation testing for the specific application
